China Musical Instruments Expo 2026

China Musical Instruments Expo (Music China), running October 28–31, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), covers the full spectrum of musical instruments, professional audio equipment, music technology, music education, and related services. Founded in 2002 and now a UFI-approved international trade show, the event has grown across more than two decades into one of the world’s largest musical instrument fairs. The 2025 edition recorded 1,693 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions, 114,283 unique visitors from 121 countries, and 144,055 total visits, across 140,000 m² spanning 12 indoor halls and one outdoor hall. The exhibition covers the complete music industry chain from instrument manufacturing and distribution to music education and digital applications. Concurrent programming includes global new product launches, the Music X Future Zone (music technology and innovation), the Music China Classroom (music education sessions), industry and dealer forums, the IMX International Music Forum, the NAMM CMIA Industry Forum and NAMM University courses, an international electronic music competition, MIDI technical exchange sessions, a music audio-visual technology exhibition, and the Traditional Musical Instruments Cultural Festival. The event has received multiple recognitions, including designation as a Shanghai Brand Exhibition (2008, 2013, 2023), the Gold Finger Award for Most Innovative Exhibition (2013) and Most Brand-Powerful Exhibition (2018), and selection for the 2020 World’s Top 100 Trade Shows. Organized by the China Musical Instruments Association, Shanghai INTEX Exhibition Co., Ltd., and Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Music China serves as the primary international trade and procurement platform in the Asia-Pacific region connecting the global music industry with Chinese manufacturers and buyers.
