Beijing-based robotics startup TARS, founded on February 5, 2025, has raised $120 million in a seed funding round led by Lanchi Ventures and Qiming Venture Partners. The company focuses on embodied intelligence, combining AI with robotics to enable machines to interact intelligently with the physical world. TARS aims to develop human-centric AI systems adaptable to real-world environments, targeting applications in industrial, medical, and service sectors. Its leadership team includes experienced AI and robotics professionals from Huawei, DJI, and Baidu. The funding will support product development, model training, and scenario deployment, providing a strong foundation for growth in China’s emerging humanoid robotics sector.
