On July 30th, a press conference was held in Beijing to announce the upcoming 2024 China International E-Commerce Expo and Indonesia Selection Exhibition (CIEIE EPSE 2024). This highly anticipated event will take place from September 19th to 21st, 2024, at the Jakarta International Expo in Indonesia. Hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Commercial Sub-council (CCPIT), along with trade promotion councils from Guangdong, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shandong, and Xi’an, this event promises to be a cornerstone in the e-commerce industry calendar.
Since its inception in 2020, the China International E-Commerce Expo has successfully held four sessions in various cities, including Shenzhen, Nanjing, and Jakarta. The event has evolved into a comprehensive platform, integrating exhibitions, forums, competitions, and procurement matching events. This year, CIEIE EPSE 2024 will continue to build on this foundation, offering even more opportunities for businesses and e-commerce professionals.
The 2024 Expo is set to cover an impressive 10,000 square meters, featuring over 300 top-tier exhibitors from China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and other countries. These exhibitors include factories, e-commerce platforms, cross-border service providers, and popular livestreaming and MCN (Multi-Channel Network) agencies. Attendees can expect a one-stop platform offering a full spectrum of cross-border e-commerce services, from supply chain solutions to cutting-edge products.
Notably, over 260 companies have already confirmed their participation. Major e-commerce players focusing on Southeast Asia, such as Shopee, Lazada, Tokopedia, TikTok, BliBli, Akulaku, and Payso, will be in attendance. Additionally, leading companies like Indonesia’s National Bank (BNI), Far East New Technology (Jiangxi), Jiangxi People’s Transmission and Distribution Co., and Jiangxi Yinshan Super Material Technology Co. will showcase their innovations. The event will also draw Southeast Asia’s top buyers, including Erajaya, Petshop Indonesia, ACE, and retailers from Vietnam and the Philippines.
CIEIE EPSE 2024 has garnered widespread support from various ASEAN business communities. Influential organizations such as the Asian Marketing Federation, Asian SME Council, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce, Indonesia-China Business Council, and Malaysian Chinese Chamber of Commerce are backing the event. These groups will mobilize local businesses, professional buyers, and retailers to attend, ensuring a rich and diverse selection of products.
In addition to the main exhibition, the event will feature the 2024 China-Indonesia E-Commerce Conference, the Trade Promotion Matchmaking Meeting, and specialized forums covering topics such as “E-Commerce Development Trends and Strategies: Staying Competitive,” “Digital Marketing: Expanding Product Reach,” and “The Future of Green Textiles: Innovation and Impact.” These sessions will provide valuable insights and networking opportunities for exhibitors and attendees alike.
The press conference was attended by notable figures including Ren Guiying, Secretary of CCPIT Commercial Sub-council, Vice President Wang Xi, Exhibition Department Minister Xiong Canxin, Jiangxi Trade Promotion Council Vice President Zhu Xiaoyan, Shandong Trade Promotion Council Vice President He Zhongjun, Xi’an Trade Promotion Council Vice President Xia Peng, and other key officials from various provincial trade promotion councils.
