In 2024, Messe Düsseldorf China (MDC) showcased exceptional growth, organizing 11 trade fairs that drew 9,800 exhibitors and 500,000 professional visitors from across China and beyond. Spanning roughly 710,000 square meters, these events covered industries including packaging, wire and tube, medical devices, retail, occupational safety, wine and spirits, and caravanning. All in CARAVANING 2024

Backed by the globally acclaimed CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF, All in CARAVANING utilized 27,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space to host 95 brands. Over three days, it attracted 12,075 visitors—a 45% rise from the previous year—including 326 international attendees from 40 countries, cementing its status as a leading caravanning event in China.

CHINAPLAS 2024

Returning to Shanghai after a six-year hiatus, CHINAPLAS 2024 occupied 380,000 square meters and featured a record 4,495 exhibitors from 38 countries. The event welcomed 321,879 visitors from over 170 nations, up 29.67% from 2023, with overseas attendance soaring by 157.50% to 73,204, highlighting its global appeal in the plastics and rubber sector.

CIOSH 2024 (106th Edition)

Held in April at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, the 106th CIOSH gathered 1,505 exhibitors from 19 countries across 80,000 square meters. Over three days, it drew 40,866 professional visitors from various industries, reaffirming its position as a cornerstone in occupational safety and health.

Valve World Asia 2024

Valve World Asia 2024 brought together over 100 top exhibitors, with more than 4,000 professional visitors on its opening day, including attendees from over 35 countries. The event facilitated direct business interactions, enabling exhibitors to showcase innovations and forge partnerships in the valve industry.

Medical Fair China & REHACARE CHINA 2024

Held concurrently in August, these events spanned 18,000 square meters and attracted 11,320 visitors—a 23% increase from the prior year. Featuring over 300 medical device firms and 100 rehabilitation companies, the fairs highlighted cutting-edge trends and solutions in healthcare and rehabilitation.

China in-store 2024

Concluding over three days in September, China in-store 2024 hosted 134 exhibitors specializing in retail design and solutions across Shanghai New International Expo Centre. It drew 11,502 visitors from 49 countries, offering insights into retail space innovation and reinforcing its international influence.

Celebrating two decades, wire & Tube China 2024 covered a record 109,250 square meters, hosting nearly 1,500 exhibitors from about 30 countries and 53,173 visitors from 99 nations. The event focused on automation, sustainability, and new materials, driving advancements in the wire, cable, and tube industries.

ProWine Shanghai 2024: Wine and Spirits Trade Hub

ProWine Shanghai 2024 featured 650 exhibitors from 32 countries—over 80% international—and welcomed 20,860 professional visitors. With a diverse buyer base, including importers, hotels, and retailers, the event underscored its role in meeting China’s multifaceted wine and spirits market demands.

Marking its first odd-year appearance, the Packaging World Expo (swop) spanned 65,000 square meters, hosting 903 exhibitors from multiple countries and 33,192 visitors. It fostered in-depth discussions on global supply chain opportunities, advancing packaging industry collaboration.

MDC facilitated the participation of 3,317 Chinese companies at trade fairs in Düsseldorf and worldwide, covering 64,066 square meters. Chinese exhibitors now represent 13% of Messe Düsseldorf’s total, with standout participation at events like drupa (408 exhibitors). MDC also debuted CIOSH Thailand in Bangkok, a pioneering step in Southeast Asia’s safety equipment market.

Themed “Organic, Sustainable Future,” it will cover the organic industry’s full value chain, promoting sustainability and innovation. Additionally, the launch of the Messe Düsseldorf Asia Center (MDfA) and MEDICARE ASIA enhances regional collaboration, positioning MDC for continued success.
