In response to increasingly dynamic manufacturing environments, Chinese intelligent robotics company Huiwen has launched the iBenX series of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to provide flexible, lightweight, and adaptable material handling solutions for industrial logistics. Traditional AGVs and AMRs often require fixed paths and long deployment cycles, making them difficult to adjust to frequent production changes, order fragmentation, or temporary obstacles on factory floors.

The iBenX series addresses these challenges with a dual SLAM navigation system combining laser SLAM and visual VSLAM, allowing robots to map and deploy within 30 minutes without QR codes, reflective markers, or magnetic strips. This gives robots the ability to dynamically adjust routes in response to changing production layouts or temporary obstructions. For multi-robot coordination, iBenX uses a self-organizing network with distributed scheduling, enabling each robot to make local decisions while maintaining stability in larger-scale deployments.

The system integrates with the iMS lightweight management platform for cloud or on-premises deployment and supports the VDA5050 protocol for cross-manufacturer interoperability. It also enables full IoT integration with factory devices such as elevators and cleanroom doors, supporting seamless automation across entire production chains.

The iBenX series covers payloads from 100 kg to 600 kg and supports multiple handling modes, including stealth transport, lift transport, and pallet handling. It has been successfully deployed in industries including 3C electronics, semiconductors, optoelectronics, pharmaceuticals, and new energy. In a Wuxi semiconductor factory, the system enabled cross-floor and cleanroom material transport, improving energy efficiency by 19% and achieving a payback period of 3.8 months.
