Shanghai Book Fair and “Bookish China” Shanghai Week will be held from August 13–19, 2025, at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, presenting a comprehensive platform for book retail, cultural exchange, and reading promotion. Covering around 42,000 sqm at the main venue with multiple city-wide sub-venues, the fair will feature publishing showcases, new book launches, author signings, thematic forums, and reading activities. Highlights include the “Double Main Venue” format, international literature week, thematic exhibitions, cultural tourism integration, and AI-enhanced book promotion. The event aims to connect publishers, readers, and cultural organizations, promote nationwide reading, and strengthen Shanghai’s role as a leading cultural hub.
