Japan Sewage Works Association (JSWA)
Japan Sewage Works Association (JSWA) is a public interest association in Japan dedicated to advancing sewerage and wastewater infrastructure and services. It was formed in 1964 by merging key industry groups and began full activities as a public interest corporation in 1965 to promote sound sewerage development and preserve public water environments. JSWA works with local public bodies, national government, industry partners, and related organizations to support research, planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of municipal sewerage systems, as well as training and certification of wastewater professionals. The association also organizes the Sewage Works Exhibition (SWE) and associated international conferences and seminars to facilitate technical exchange and raise awareness of clean water initiatives domestically and globally.
