European Association of Urology (EAU)
The European Association of Urology (EAU) is a non‑profit professional medical association founded in 1972 and based in Arnhem, The Netherlands. It represents urology specialists and healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing urological care, research, education, and clinical practice throughout Europe and beyond. The EAU supports more than 19,000 members by organising the Annual EAU Congress — the largest urology event in Europe — as well as other scientific conferences, educational programmes, hands‑on training, and specialised courses. Its activities include publishing clinical guidelines, research dissemination, training initiatives via the European School of Urology, and promoting standards for urological practice. The association also engages in advocacy, collaboration with national urology societies, and efforts to raise the level of urological care worldwide.
