China Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce (TDB)
China Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce (TDB) was established in 2003 as a foreign trade promotion agency directly under the Ministry of Commerce. Its current Director is Liu Dianxun, succeeding former Director Wu Zhengping. The Bureau primarily implements national foreign trade development strategies, promotes international economic and trade cooperation, and provides public services. Its core responsibilities include organizing domestic and international trade exhibitions, advancing export brand development, conducting market research and information consulting, executing key exhibitions hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, and providing foreign trade promotion services for small and medium-sized enterprises. Additionally, it oversees the development of import promotion platforms and handles overseas business complaint services. Its functions extend to technology trade promotion, international exchange and cooperation, and cross-border e-commerce facilitation, while executing foreign trade-related tasks assigned by the Ministry of Commerce. The bureau’s internal structure encompasses over ten departments, including the International Exhibitions Division, Training Division, and Project Evaluation Division, forming a comprehensive functional system covering the entire trade promotion chain.
