China Plastics Processing Industry Association

The China Plastics Processing Industry Association (CPPIA), founded in 1989 and registered with China’s Ministry of Civil Affairs, is a national non-profit organization representing China’s plastics processing industry and its supply chain. Its membership includes over 5,000 companies, institutions, universities, research institutes, and individuals engaged in plastics and related sectors. CPPIA works to reflect industry needs, protect members’ rights, and promote sustainable, high-quality industry development in line with Chinese laws and policies. Its activities cover policy research, industry planning, market and technical studies, standardization, intellectual property protection, self-regulation, professional training and certification, information services, and domestic and international cooperation. The association operates 41 specialized committees across segments such as agricultural films, engineering plastics, recycling, medical and biodegradable plastics, pipes, foams, films, additives, and more, and publishes industry journals and yearbooks including China Plastics and the China Plastics Industry Yearbook.
