China Iron and Steel Association

The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) is a national, industry-focused, non-profit social organization composed of steel enterprises, institutions, associations, and individual members. Guided by relevant national policies and regulations, CISA establishes industry standards, self-regulatory mechanisms, and norms for corporate behavior. It conducts industry research, participates in planning and policy development, collects and publishes market and technical information, and contributes to the drafting and implementation of industry standards. CISA also evaluates major projects, organizes professional training and skill competitions, represents China’s steel industry in international cooperation, and handles industry statistics and analysis as authorized by the government. As of January 2024, CISA has 357 group members, 102 individual members, 212 council members, and 63 executive council members, including 213 steel producers. Its organizational structure includes 10 departments, 11 working committees, and 5 sub-associations. On January 20, 2025, Zhao Minge, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shougang Group, was appointed the new President of CISA.
