China Hospital Association

The China Hospital Association, established in 1995 as the Chinese Society of Hospital Management and renamed in 2005, is a national, non-profit industry organization registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs and supervised by the National Health Commission of China. Headquartered in Beijing, it represents more than 5,000 member institutions, primarily secondary and tertiary hospitals, along with community healthcare providers, research institutions, and industry experts, and operates through 60 specialized branches. The association focuses on promoting healthcare system reform, supporting hospital management and industry development, establishing standards and regulations, and strengthening industry self-discipline. It also serves as a platform for policy advocacy, academic exchange, professional training, and international cooperation. Acting as a bridge between government, healthcare institutions, and society, the association works to advance hospital quality, operational efficiency, and the overall development of China’s healthcare system.
