China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)
China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), known in Chinese as 中国国际贸易促进委员会, is China’s main national organization for promoting international trade and investment cooperation. Established in 1952, it operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce and is composed of representative leaders from China’s economic and trade sectors. Its core functions include developing business cooperation and economic exchanges with foreign countries, organizing trade fairs and exhibitions, providing market information, legal and arbitration services, issuing trade and investment certificates (such as origin certificates), and facilitating international business development opportunities. CCPIT’s headquarters are in Beijing’s Xicheng District, and it works both domestically and internationally through a network of local sub‑councils and overseas offices.
