Zhanjiang Olympic Sports Center Complex

Zhanjiang Olympic Sports Center, the main venue for the 14th Guangdong Provincial Games, is located on the east coast of Zhanjiang Bay in Potou District, just north of Zhanjiang Bay Bridge. Covering 44.3 hectares with a building area of 184,700 square meters, it includes one stadium and three pavilions along with supporting roads. The center features a 40,000-seat main stadium, a 6,300-seat gymnasium, a 1,000-seat ball sports hall, and a 2,000-seat swimming and diving hall. Designed around a “ribbon” theme, its architecture reflects the smooth flow of the sea, with the stadium inspired by a “sea shell” and the three pavilions resembling white shells scattered on a beach. This coastal design makes the center a striking new landmark for Zhanjiang, visible from across the bay as a graceful and majestic sports complex.
