The Wuhan International Expo Center is a key development project in Hubei Province and Wuhan City, serving as a catalyst for the urban development of the Four New Districts. Spanning 6,253 acres with a total investment of RMB 50 billion, it integrates exhibitions, conferences, business, technology, culture, leisure, tourism, and residential spaces. The complex includes exhibition halls, an international conference center, InterContinental and Holiday Inn hotels, the Han Hall, a cultural center, commercial real estate, an ecological residential area, and a super high-rise office tower. Strategically located along Wuhan’s Second Ring Road, it boasts 2.7 kilometers of Yangtze River waterfront, making it the largest riverside exhibition venue in the city. The center is well-connected with major road networks and Metro Lines 6 and 11, ensuring seamless access within a 15-minute drive from downtown Wuhan. Dedicated to enhancing Wuhan’s exhibition industry, the center aims to establish itself as the premier “City Showroom” of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
Opened in 2011, the Wuhan International Expo Center features a total building area of 457,000 square meters, including 150,000 square meters of indoor exhibition space and 40,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition area, accommodating approximately 6,880 international standard booths. Its column-free interior, with a height of 17.5 meters, allows for a continuous exhibition space of up to 65,000 square meters, making it one of China’s leading and Central China’s largest exhibition venues, capable of hosting major international and domestic exhibitions, conferences, and events.
The International Conference Hall covers 6,000 square meters, while the conference center, situated between the exhibition and hotel zones, spans 99,000 square meters. It includes a 6,000-square-meter grand banquet hall, a 1,350-square-meter international conference hall, a 900-square-meter tiered meeting room, 35 medium-sized meeting rooms, and 41 reception rooms (which can also be used as small meeting rooms). The grand banquet hall is designed for flexible partitioning to accommodate different event needs.
