Qingdao SCO Pearl International Expo Center, launched on September 30, 2022, is a landmark project in Shandong Province and Qingdao City, serving as a key platform for deepening economic, technological, and talent cooperation between SCO countries and Belt and Road partners. Located in the core area of the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area, it integrates exhibition, business, tourism, and culture. Construction began in February 2022 and was completed in under eight months, setting a new benchmark for rapid development. The center features a complex large-span hyperbolic tube truss structure with a maximum span of 110 meters, a roof width of 220 meters, and steel consumption of approximately 30,000 tons, highlighting advanced engineering and design challenges.
