Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC)

The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) is a state corporation established under the Tourism Act, 2011 to promote Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) and position Kenya as a leading business events destination. Completed in 1973, KICC is the only state-owned purpose-built convention facility in Kenya and a key national landmark. Its mandate includes marketing conference tourism, maintaining standards, and expanding facilities. Uniquely, KICC houses offices of the President and Deputy President, making it a high-security facility requiring advanced surveillance and close coordination with State House. To strengthen security and operational standards, KICC seeks parliamentary support to formally gazette these offices, ensuring full alignment with relevant government agencies.
