Fujian is a leader in the forestry industry, continuously implementing projects for commercial timber, bamboo, flowers, specialty economic forestry, and forest tourism, fostering sectors such as wood processing, bamboo industry, horticulture, forest tourism, and under-forest economies. In 2022, the total output value of the province’s forestry industry reached approximately 740 billion yuan, ranking among the top in the country. The production of key forest products such as wood (bamboo), flowers, seedlings, wood-based activated carbon, and wooden furniture is also among the national leaders. There are 23 listed forestry enterprises in the province and 5 national forestry industry demonstration zones. Fujian has completed forest carbon sink transactions totaling 3.91 million tons and 58.9 million yuan, leading the country in both transaction volume and value.
