China Environmental Services Chamber of Commerce (CECC)

The China Environment Chamber of Commerce (CECC), officially named 全联环境服务业商会 in Chinese, is a national, industry-based, non-profit membership organization approved by the State Council of China and established by the Ministry of Civil Affairs on June 12, 2007. It was co-founded by prominent Chinese and international environmental companies including Sound Group (Sander), Capital Holdings (Shouchuang), Veolia Water, Sino-French Water, and Jinzhou Environment Group. The organization is supervised by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), with business guidance provided by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Headquartered in Beijing’s Chaoyang District, CECC serves as a bridge between China’s private environmental enterprises and government policy-making bodies. Its business scope covers water supply, wastewater treatment, reclaimed water utilization, seawater desalination, solid waste disposal, industrial solid waste management, resource recovery, air pollution control, desulfurization and denitrification, environmental equipment and instruments, circular economy, and low-carbon economy. The chamber’s core functions include industry self-regulation, policy research and advocacy, member services, international cooperation, and market development support. CECC has established close working relationships with key government departments including the NDRC, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Water Resources, and Ministry of Commerce. Since 2018, CECC has published the annual “China Top 50 Environmental Enterprises” ranking, which has established significant credibility and authority in the sector. The chamber also organizes an annual environmental industry summit, CEO roundtables, member enterprise exchange visits, industry research publications, and international cooperation forums. CECC serves as a co-organizer of IE expo China — Asia’s largest environmental technology trade fair — and publishes multiple media and research outputs including Huanjing Jie (Environmental World), the Environmental Commerce Report, and sector-specific industry research reports covering water, solid waste, air, and soil segments.
