China Phosphate and Compound Fertilizer Industry Association

The China Phosphate and Compound Fertilizer Industry Association (CPFIA), founded in June 1990 and renamed in 2014 from the former China Phosphate Fertilizer Industry Association, is a national, non-profit industry organization approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China and supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. Headquartered in Beijing, the association represents enterprises, research institutions, universities, and organizations involved in phosphate fertilizers, compound fertilizers, and related agricultural inputs. CPFIA plays a key role in industry coordination by conducting statistical analysis, formulating industry standards, organizing technical exchanges, and hosting major events such as national fertilizer trade fairs and industry conferences. It also facilitates communication between government and enterprises, supports policy development, promotes technological innovation, and advances sustainable practices such as phosphogypsum utilization. Recognized as a 4A-level national social organization in 2021, the association has contributed significantly to the development, regulation, and modernization of China’s phosphate and compound fertilizer industry.
