Luo Wei Teases MWC 2026: Honor Will Announce More Than Magic V6 and Robot Phone, Including Even Bigger News

On February 24, Luo Wei, Chief Imaging Engineer of Honor, published a post previewing Honor’s plans for MWC 2026. He stated that at this year’s MWC, Honor will present not only the Magic V6 and the Robot Phone, but also an announcement that is even more significant.

According to official teaser information released by Honor yesterday, the Honor MWC 2026 Global Launch Event will officially begin on March 1. The Honor Magic V6 flagship foldable smartphone will make its global debut, the Honor ROBOT PHONE will be showcased in a preview appearance, and multiple new products and advanced technologies will also be introduced. Reports indicate that Honor may also launch its first humanoid robot. A robot appeared on the official teaser poster, featuring the Alpha logo.

According to previous reports, in March last year, Honor unveiled its new artificial intelligence strategy at the 2025 Mobile World Congress. The strategy, named the Honor Alpha Strategy, announced the company’s full transition from a smartphone manufacturer to a global AI terminal ecosystem company. Honor’s newly appointed CEO Li Jian stated that over the next 5 years, Honor will invest 10 Billion USD (69 Billion RMB) to jointly build an AI device ecosystem with global partners.

In November last year, Honor CEO Li Jian attended the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit and disclosed the latest progress of the Alpha Strategy. He stated that the strategy has achieved substantial progress. Products such as the Magic8 series continue advancing the goal of building intelligent smartphones. In 2026, Honor will launch a Robot Phone integrating AI capabilities, embodied intelligence, and high definition imaging. Honor will also establish the Alpha Lab in subsequent phases.
