Japan Medical Imaging and Radiological Systems Industries Association (JIRA)

The Japan Medical Imaging and Radiological Systems Industries Association (JIRA) (一般社団法人 日本画像医療システム工業会) is a Tokyo-based industry association representing companies involved in medical imaging and radiological systems. Founded in 1967 and evolving through subsequent reorganizations, JIRA works to promote standardization, quality assurance, safety, and technological advancement in diagnostic and radiological imaging equipment. Its activities include research, surveys, exhibitions and seminars, dissemination of regulatory information, and cooperation with academic and government bodies to improve production, distribution, and international trade of medical imaging systems. JIRA also organizes and supports the International Technical Exhibition of Medical Imaging (ITEM) and contributes to industry standards and collaboration within Japan’s healthcare technology sector.
