Norwegian Dental Association (NDA)
The Norwegian Dental Association (Den norske tannlegeforening, NDA) is the national professional association and trade union for dentists in Norway, founded in 1884 and headquartered at Christiania Torv 5 in Oslo. It represents the professional, financial, and social interests of dentists, providing guidance on dental health policies, working conditions, and postgraduate education. With more than 6,600 members (over 90% of practicing dentists in Norway), the NDA negotiates on behalf of dentists, offers continuing education and professional development, and publishes the Norwegian Dental Journal, an independent professional journal for dentists. The association also works with local county associations, supports ethical standards in practice, and contributes to oral health policy and communication.
