Saudi General Authority for Military Industries
The Saudi General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) is a Saudi Arabian government agency established in August 2017 to oversee, regulate, and enable the Kingdom’s defense industry sector, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. GAMI’s responsibilities include licensing military manufacturers and service providers, developing defense industry policies and regulations, monitoring performance, and facilitating localization of defense manufacturing to achieve over 50 % domestic military spending by 2030. GAMI works with public and private partners to strengthen national military capabilities, enhance self-sufficiency, and promote investment and technology transfer in defense and security sectors. The authority also supports events and international engagement, such as organizing national defense participation at global defense exhibitions.
