The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Messwertaufnehmer) has been the central network for the sensor and measurement technology sector since 1981. Serving as a bridge between industry and science, AMA supports professional exchange, technological development, and innovation through collaboration. With around 450 member companies and institutes, it drives key industry topics via committees and working groups, while also conducting market studies and surveys. AMA operates with a lean, volunteer-led structure and focuses on practical needs, especially for SMEs and research institutions. It organizes major platforms such as SENSOR+TEST, the messweb online portal, the JSSS journal, and the SMSI conference to promote visibility and collaboration within the sensor community.
