The World Internet Conference (WIC) is a non-profit international organization dedicated to advancing global internet development. Founded in 2022 by GSMA, CNCERT, CNNIC, Alibaba, Tencent, and Zhijiang Laboratory, it is headquartered in Beijing and now has over 210 members from nearly 40 countries, including leading enterprises, research institutions, and global internet pioneers. Originating from the Wuzhen Summit first held in 2014, the WIC has become a key platform for international dialogue on digital governance and cooperation. Beyond the annual summit, it hosts events such as the Asia-Pacific Summit in Hong Kong and the Digital Silk Road Forum, and has launched initiatives like the Outstanding Contribution Award, Leading Technology Award, and the Global Young Leaders Program. Rooted in China yet serving the world, the WIC promotes an open, inclusive, and innovative global digital ecosystem.
