The 45th Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX Global) opened in Dubai on October 13, bringing together leaders and innovators from across the world to explore breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, and the future of innovation-driven economies.

At the opening ceremony, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum highlighted the event as a meeting point between East and West, emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to turning challenges into opportunities through technological leadership.

This year’s GITEX features over 6,800 tech companies and 2,000 startups from more than 180 countries, showcasing the latest advancements in AI, Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and digital governance. Around 300 Chinese technology firms are participating, presenting innovations such as AI-powered robots, intelligent systems, and flying cars.

Nazir Saleh, an exhibitor from Oman, noted the growing presence and influence of Chinese companies: “Their technologies—especially in AI robotics and flying vehicles—are attracting strong global interest, reflecting international confidence in China’s innovation capabilities.”

As the largest technology exhibition in the Middle East, GITEX Global continues until October 17, serving as a vital platform for global collaboration and the acceleration of AI-driven digital transformation.
