Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center is a modern international venue featuring advanced facilities, energy-efficient design, and convenient transportation. Located in the core area of the 2010 Shanghai Expo near the Huangpu River, China Pavilion, Expo Center, performance center, and five-star hotels, it is well-connected by major bridges, tunnels, main roads, numerous bus lines, and metro lines (including Line 8 and Lines 6, 7, and 13). Covering 11.5 hectares, the center has a total building area of 171,000 m²—93,000 m² above ground and 93,000 m² underground. Its layout comprises entrance halls, a central hall, five exhibition pavilions, VIP reception, a conference area with 13 rooms (accommodating up to 800 people), and over 90,000 m² of ancillary space for offices, business services, and dining. The venue offers around 100,000 m² of indoor and outdoor exhibition space, with 80,000 m² of indoor space divided among five pavilions—the smallest unit is 6,000 m², and the largest, at 25,000 m² with a 23-meter ceiling, is Asia’s largest column-free exhibition space—and 20,000 m² of outdoor exhibition area, as well as nearly 1,500 parking spaces.
