The Center Overview

The Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center (NICEC) is a landmark venue in Qingxiu District, Nanning, Guangxi, China, covering 615 acres with a total building area of 640,000 sqm. Since 2004, it has served as the permanent venue for the China-ASEAN Expo, making it a crucial hub for international business and trade events. The main hall, Hibiscus Hall, is inspired by Nanning’s city flower, the hibiscus, symbolizing the unity of 12 ethnic groups in Guangxi. The venue comprises eight sections (A-G) and includes two large multifunctional halls (Hibiscus Hall & Golden Osmanthus Hall), 18 exhibition halls ranging from 2,160 sqm to 15,810 sqm, and 18 conference rooms. It offers a total indoor exhibition area of 92,000 sqm, capable of accommodating 5,300 standard booths.

NICEC is well-equipped with modern facilities and excellent accessibility. It has a parking capacity of over 3,500 underground and 270 surface parking spaces. The center is conveniently located 15 minutes from Nanning East Railway Station (high-speed rail) and 40 minutes from Nanning Wuxu International Airport. It is served by more than 30 bus routes, and Metro Line 1 has a dedicated “Convention & Exhibition Center” station, allowing direct access to the venue. Surrounding the exhibition center are two major shopping malls (Hangyang Shopping Center & MixC Mall) and 18 four-star and above hotels with over 4,500 rooms, including the Nanning Howard Johnson Hotel, which features 321 rooms and a 2,900 sqm banquet/conference space.

Since its establishment, NICEC has successfully hosted 17 editions of the China-ASEAN Expo and the China-ASEAN Business & Investment Summit, along with 24 Nanning International Student Supplies Fairs. Other major international exhibitions held at NICEC include the China-ASEAN International Auto Show, China International Advertising Festival, China International Business & Culture Festival, China Education Equipment Exhibition, Asian International Philately Exhibition, National Auto Parts Fair, and the China Feed Industry Exhibition.
