Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the Fubao Peninsula area of Guandu District, Kunming, covering a planned land area of 2,280 acres. The facility spans 2,600 meters north–south and 1,000 meters east–west with a 12-meter elevated platform. The project is divided into four functional zones—international exposition, international conference, exhibition cultural tourism, and an exhibition supporting eco-community—with a total above-ground construction area of approximately 4,048,000 m² and an underground area of about 1,038,000 m². Total investment is around 34.462 billion RMB, which includes roughly 2 billion RMB for land and infrastructure, 28.762 billion RMB for construction, and 3.7 billion RMB for interest during construction; the international exposition area portion alone accounts for about 5.931 billion RMB. Key components include an international exhibition center (~700,000 m²), a CBD central business district (~850,000 m²), exhibition apartments (~1,100,000 m²), a tourism town (~400,000 m²), an ocean pavilion (~400,000 m²), a commercial mall (~500,000 m²), and the Dianwang Palace Hotel and Conference Center (~300,000 m²).
