The Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the Airport Economic Demonstration Zone, near the Qiantang River Delta and Hangzhou Bay, just 3 km from Xiaoshan International Airport. As a key project under Zhejiang Province’s “Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand” initiative, it is also a major development for Hangzhou. Spanning 1,110 acres with a total construction area of 1.24 million square meters, including 840,000 square meters above ground and 300,000 square meters of net indoor exhibition space, it ranks among China’s top three convention centers. The first and second phases will cover 1.5 million square meters, comparable in scale to the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Designed with inspiration from Hangzhou’s iconic folding fans, the venue harmonizes with the natural landscape, integrating a green corridor between Lion Mountain and White Tiger Mountain, while extending the city’s central axis into a dynamic east-west public space.
